Kimberly Woodhouse

Queen's Engineering and Applied Science has a rich history of tradition and achievement, dating back to our origins in 1893 as a School of Mining and Agriculture. But as we celebrate our roots and experience, we are also firmly looking towards the future, exploring new ideas to respond to global problems and advance discovery.

We are proud of our faculty members, who give our students an edge in today's fast-paced business environment. They inspire our next generation  – not just in the classroom, but through their groundbreaking research and collaborative approach to learning.

Our programs provide students with an unmatched foundation for pursuing their passions. Along with interdisciplinary opportunities, dual degree programs and active student engineering teams, we offer paid work internships, competitions and the Innovation Connector, a partnership with the School of Business designed to encourage, enable and support innovation activities of students, alumni, entrepreneurs and Canadian companies. It's no wonder Queen's Engineers are so highly sought after.

As a leader in engineering education, the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science has a mission to educate engineering students for leadership and citizenship in a global society. Together, our students and faculty represent the next generation of critical thinkers and explorers, engineers who can - and will - change our world.

Queen’s University is situated on traditional Anishnaabe and Haudenosaunee Territory.
