FEAS Excellence in Research Award

Scope and Mandate

The FEAS Excellence in Research Award recognizes outstanding contributions by faculty members to the research environment in the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science (FEAS) at Queen’s University. The award is intended to reward faculty for their research leadership and for fostering collaborative growth at the graduate level within the Faculty.

Eligibility

Assistant and Associate Professors from the five engineering departments and the three engineering science programs are eligible.

Funding Details

The winner of the award will receive a grant of $10,000 to be used to support their research.

Application Details
Application package

Assistant and Associate Professors are to be nominated by heads of departments or by other faculty members. The application package should consist of a nomination letter and a copy of the nominee’s CV. The nomination letter should describe how the activity of the nominee has contributed to the research environment within the Faculty.

Deadline

Nominations are to be submitted to the faculty office no later than October 1st of each year, to the following email address: FEAS.researchadmin@queensu.ca

Adjudication Process

The award will be adjudicated by a committee of faculty members selected by the Associate Dean, Research. Winners will be listed on the Faculty website and the award will be formally acknowledged at Faculty Board.
